Mexican Hot Cocoa Mix

3 cups nonfat dry milk powder
1 ¾ cups powdered sugar
¼ cup brown sugar
1 ½ cups cocoa powder
¾ cup white chocolate chips
¾ cup semi sweet chocolate chips
¼ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cornstarch
½ teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

Topping: Marshmallows, cinnamon


In a large bowl, whisk together all the ingredients. In batches, pulse the mixture in a food processor until smooth and well combined. Store in a sealed container in a dry and dark place. To make the hot chocolate, add 1/3 cup of the mixture into a mug and mix with hot water or milk. Top with marshmallows and sprinkle with cinnamon.

My Personal Take on This Recipe

Yes... It's another chocolate recipe, but this one you can drink :). This winter, warm up by the fire with a bit of a kick and a cultural twist to your classic hot cocoa. You'll be pleasantly surprised what a little spice can do when added to chocolate.
